This course studies the origin and development of Western philosophical thought by seeing the evolution of ideas which began in the Greek classical era.
A study of the development of Greek thought from the pre-philosophical age to Plotinus (270 A.D), according to the following divisions: the period of Naturalism, the Metaphysical period of Naturalism, the Metaphysical period, the Ethical period, and the Religious period.
A class presentation and an oral examination.
